Event Overview
The Summit includes a panel on AI in Maine classrooms, breakout sessions built around five key CS education themes, and group discussions by region to turn ideas into a community action plan, with the day closing out by sharing one commitment your region is ready to act on.

The inaugural Maine CS Education Summit in 2024 identified the top five priority themes impacting CS education statewide. The 2026 Summit will build on those findings, moving from identifying challenges to taking action, so CS education in Maine doesn't fall behind.
CS Education Priority Themes:
The summit is hosted by the Maine Mathematics & Science Alliance (MMSA), the Maine Department of Education, Educate Maine, the University of Maine, and CSTA Maine, with funding provided by the Harold Alfond Foundation through the STEM Workforce Ready 2030 project.
